dezinger: Dezinger a large number of "identical" frames

The "dezinger" program can dezinger many "identical" images without running out of memory (many=hundreds).

Usage

The program is invoked by the command line:

dezinger [options] <imagefilenames>

Different image file types are recognized from their names.

All specified image files should consist of frames measured using exactly the same conditions on exactly the same sample. The images should be expected to be identical except for the influence of cosmic or radioactive events.

The program accepts the options to determine KCD file scaling, except for the "write=" option controlling the output file name.

The output of the program consists of 4 files:

dezingered.kcd: A one-frame image that is the sum of all frames read, correcting all pixels that were found to be anomalously high.
stdev.kcd: A one-frame image that contains 100*the standard deviation of each pixel in dezingered.kcd
numused.kcd: A one-frame image that shows for each pixel how many contributing frames were used to calculate the dezingered image.
pixels.dat: A text file containing a list of all pixels that have a high standard deviation or that have registered more than 2 zingers.

Beware: This program has not been very well tested on different kinds of data.
