kcd2pgm: Convert diffraction image to a 8bit PGM graphics file

"kcd2pgm" can convert diffraction image files to 8-bit PGM files for processing using image manipulation tools.

Usage:

kcd2pgm [options] <imagefilenames>
Different image file types are recognized from their names.

The program will convert each of the input image files into a corresponding PGM file, the output file name is the input file name with the extension replaced.

Options recognized by the program are:

log
images are converted to 8 bit depth with logarithmic scaling, subtracting a dark image if available.
linear
Images are converted to 8 bit depth with linear scaling. This is the default.
maxsize=n
If images are larger than the specified number of pixels in either direction, they are binned before the conversion. Default "maxsize=1200"
The resulting PGM files can e.g. be used to create an mpeg movie of a complete data collection. See program makempeg.
