kcd3dmap: Convert window out of a series of images to a 3D map

"kcd3dmap" can convert a window out of a series of KCD files into a 3D map file, suitable for further processing using the programs "contour3d" and "geomview"

Usage:

kcd3dmap [options] <imagefilenames>
Different image file types are recognized from their names.

Options include:

to xxx.map or write xxx.map
Write output map to xxx.map. Default is kcd3d.map.
vmin=i1 and vmax=i2
hmin=i3 and hmax=i4
Select the area in the kcd image that is bound by i1<=v<=i2 and i3<=h<=i4. All values are pixel values. For a normal KappaCCD image, i1 and i2 should be between 0 and 575; i3 and i4 between 0 and 624. The interesting area can be easily selected using the ndisp program.
The output ".map" file of the kcd3dmap program can be read using the contour3d program. (There is no manual for that program yet. You should run it as: contour3d file x.map level 100). The contour file written by contour3d can be viewed using geomview.
