Control panel

The standard way to operate the generator is through the control panel. Note that: the display shows the function of the buttons (the next action), not the present status. So open in the window means that the shutter will open when the button is pressed.

Operate
Generator Choose kV, mA or adapt the default bias voltage. It also shows the limits (can be changed in Setup • Tube)
Recrystallise Start the automatic recrystallise program.
Conditioning Start-up an automatic power up to the kV/mA limits, slowly rising the power while checking the vacuum and trips.
Anode speed Choose higher then default calculated anode speed.

 
Setup
Shutters Shutter (1 or 3) control:
- Software: goniometer can use the shutter. It is not possible to open or close the shutter from the control panel
- Hardware: Close the shutter from the control panel. With special electronic strapping also : open shutter. 
Generator Fixed at module 1
Tube Fixed at 0.1x1 focus,  fine focus, anode Cu, power 2.7 kW
Be sure that you have the management over the X-ray (Setup • Management) and the generator is in status Power up.
Management X-ray and Shutters default : Panel . When an external program wants the X-ray management it takes over automatically and : "No management" or "RS232" will show. 

Service default : No management. Only when asked by Service department.
Preferences - Type of date: European, American
- Type of unit : British (mbar and °C, default), American (psi and °F), ISO (torr and °C). 
- Contrast (of display) :18 - 22, typical. Be careful! when choosing a different value the display can disappear and this adjustment must be found in the blind.
- Left button shutter: button drives shutter 1 or 3
- Right button shutter: button drives shutter 1 or 3

 
Diagnose
Error logs History or warnings, faults and errors.
Trips Number of trips since 

 
Service For striped items: first get management.
Read Read of memory. It will default give the data of four successive addresses in hexadecimal format, starting with input address (which will be supplied by Service department)
Modify Write to the memory. Be careful : wrong writing can put the system in a dangerous status, resulting in damage. 
IO Reading and writing of IO registers. Be careful : wrong writing can put the system in a dangerous status, resulting in damage. 
Show revisions Show board revisions, adapted at the board with resistors
Ventilate To enter nitrogen in the tube. Opens the nitrogen NC valve for approx. 30 seconds. This must be done several times before the cathode can be removed
What to toggle To set/reset User (main) relays

Primary status Show kV, mA, bias, vacuum and anode speed
Setup parameters Show shutter and anode. RS232 parameters are not right 
Shutter: "GCU...": see Setup ; "Key-switch": shutter key-switch is off.
Operation parameters Show on/off of : water pump, oil pump, anode motor and vacuum pump 
value: temperature of oil, primary input water and secondary output water circuit

 
Status Shows the status or the intermediate status (from which to which status)
